MY FIRST MDF KIT

After many years making plastic and resin kits, I stumbled upon Uncertain Scenery, and their MDF kits. I decided to order the Comm/Sensor Dish to use as a terrain feature, and objective on a 28mm wargaming board. I had never made an MDF kit before, and did have concerns the finished model may appear heavy and clunky. When the kit arrived I was impressed by how well the kit was packaged to prevent damage during postage. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The kit parts were easy to remove from the sprues, and required very little, if any cleaning up prior to assembly. The parts went together very easily and in a logical sequence, and though many parts appeared fragile created a very robust model. The finished model to my eye is a very realistic and convincing model of a Comms dish. I would thoroughly recommend this kit to anyone. It is in no way heavy or clunky, and appears to me to be 'in scale' through out. I would not hesitate to buy more MDF kits from Uncertain Scenery.

EXCELLENT KIT

Just finished putting together the comm array. Quite simply the best mdf kit I've ever had. In terms of design, finish, detail and any other aspect you care to mention, this was excellent.

WHY HAVEN'T YOU BOUGHT IT YET?

Do you play a skirmish game? Deadzone perhaps? Or Kill Team? Necromunda maybe? These games play in 3 dimensions, but so often, as players, we only play the game in a 2-dimensional scale--meaning, single level terrain sitting on a mat. With this terrain, you immediately introduce a new level of terrain, and then build your other terrain on top of it. This is a huge benefit, because you've just 'elevated' your game play significantly. Now your models have more sneakiness up their sleeves, as they scamper through the tunnels and underground roads, only to appear behind enemy lines. And the price for a 2'x2' board is probably legally considered theft in most major countries. Are you kidding me? Huge value. Just buy it already.
